When moving to Stockholm, Sweden I was quickly introduced to this concept known as fika. This Swedish tradition encourages people to pause and take a break during the day. By definition to fika is the act of taking a break over coffee and a snack (preferably a kanelbulle – a cinnamon bun). The crucial thing about fika is that you take the time to slow down and enjoy the present wether you are by yourself or in company.
Pom och Flora
My favourite place to fika is right in my neighbourhood. A trendy, perhaps the most stylish café in the city: Pom och Flora. Serving delicious and healthy breakfast all day. The stylish interior mixed with a lovely atmosphere and an inspiring organic menu makes it the perfect place to enjoy your fika.
