In my opinion, making resolutions is not limited to New Year’s. Each new day, week or month can be seen as a new beginning. Even each second or minute, because it is up to you to decide to become the best version of yourself. And since we today are turning the page to a brand new chapter, I made a list of New Year’s resolution ideas to make the most out of 2018. Say hello to all the amazing adventures that await!
Prioritise the people that matter the most
Spend time with the people you care about, and who care about you.
Practice gratitude daily
The other day a friend of mine told me she goes to bed, thinking about five good things that has happened to her during the day. I absolutely loved the idea. There is definitely something good in each day.
Think and dream bigger
Dare to dream and think bigger.
Have more self-compassion
Be kinder to yourself because compassion for others begins with kindness to yourself.
Learn how to make decisions
Instead of answering ‘I don’t know’ and relying on other’s opinions start standing up for what you actually want.
Novels, magazines, news. Read, even if it is just 10 pages each evening before bed.
Decide to be happy now
Because life is here and now, in this exact moment.
Start keeping a journal
Scribble down a few notes. Maybe write down the five things you are grateful for from that day.
Meet new people
Network, make contacts and new friend. Each person has their unique story, something that you can learn from. And you never know who you are going to meet.
Learn something new each day
Continue to grow on a personal level. For instance learn a new word in a foreign language.
Satisfy your wanderlust
Travel and explore that place you have been longing to see.
